The event will be held at Lawn Community Centre on Saturday, 12th March 2016 at 10am-11am.
The fee for the event will be £8 per person.

SAPAC is organising a one of a kind keyboard concert by the International artist Satyanarayanan.
K. Sathyanarayanan (born February 1st, 1995), is a musician who brings out his musical thoughts on the keyboard. He has been performing on the public stage since the age of six. Sathyanarayanan, at the age of 10, was among the youngest to have passed the Grade 8 keyboard examinations conducted by Trinity College, London. He has released 16 music albums and has performed over 850 concerts in India and abroad including South Africa, Mauritius, USA, Canada, Qatar and Bahrain. Sathyanarayanan has won several awards for his talent, performances and path-breaking efforts to establish the keyboard as a main-line instrument on the Indian classical music scene.
Sathyanarayanan’s concert is taking place for the first time in Swindon and is a rare opportunity to enjoy versatile music. The concert is a fantastic opportunity for everyone and anyone who enjoys music and is suitable for all ages.
Sathya will be playing light instrumental and semi classical music at the concert.
All proceeds from this concert will go to the Swindon Hindu Temple Trust and ORU PANNAI (Charity who feed orphans in Northern Srilanka).
The event is being supported by SWINDON TAMIL ASSOCIATION.
Chennai Dosa will be putting up a food stall at the Event and delicious Indian snacks will be on sale.

Music and Dance Academy is a non profit making venture.
The classes begin from 5th of Nov. 2016 at Hindu Temple in Cheney Manor.
There will be 33 classes over 3 terms coinciding with school terms.
timings and Fees are as follows:
Vocal / Harmonium 10-11 am
£90 per term for Vocal/ Harmonium
£150 per term for Tabla.
If there are 10 or more fee paying people attend the classes , the fee will be reduced and adjusted over the following terms.

SAPAC is organising a solo kathak dance recital by Shila Mehta, International artist from Mumbai, India on November 6th 2016 at 2pm at Swindon Dance, Regent Circus, Swindon, SN1 1QF, United Kingdom.

Shila Mehta is an exponent of the Lucknow specialism of Kathak Dance- an art that is rich in expression, technical precision and rhythm. As a performer and choreographer, she has built a reputation as a well-rounded artist amongst audiences across the globe.
This solo recital features artist commentary on and exhibition of latest works. Prepare for an exhilarating experience full of energy and colour as we move between precise footwork, graceful hand gestures, dynamic pirouettes and emotive storytelling completed by connection with rhythm. Also featuring a short showcase of emerging Kathak dance talent from Swindon, including live music accompaniment by Amritpal Singh Rasiya (tabla) and Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla (harmonium).
This event is brought to you in collaboration with the Swindon South Asian Performing Arts Centre (SAPAC) and through support from the Arts Council England and the National Lottery.

Shri Partha Bose – Widely acknowledged as a leading contemporary instrumentalist, PARTHA BOSE represents the MAIHAR GHARANA (school/musical tradition), well-known for producing maestros of yesteryears including Pandit Ravi Shankar & Ustad Ali Akbar.
Born on January 21,1962, Partha was initiated to the Sitar at the age of six.
Trained in SITAR by veteran Guru (Master) Pandit Monoj Shankar for 46 years, Bose divides his time between Calcutta (his home-city) and the rest of the world, performing, teaching, lecturing, composing, at reputed venues, including major festivals and well-known universities.
Partha has received overwhelming appreciation from connoisseurs and critics of Hindustani classical music in India and abroad over two decades now.
Shri Indrani Mullick on Tabla
Indrani combines talent, virtuosity and youthful dynamism in perfect proportions. He is a leading Tabla player of his generation. He started his training at the tender he of 5 under eminent masters including his uncle Monty Mallika, Prof. Dhabol, Shri Utamaro Chakrobarty and currently maestro SwapanChaudhuri. Indrani has collaborated with Western musicians including Miles Davies Electric band.
